The MPBHBA is in search of businesses along Western to be a part of fun-filled, holiday-themed day on December 3rd, 12-5pm.
Shoppers and imbibers alike can venture down the avenue on 12/3 to find holiday gifts, get into the holiday spirit, and sip and snack along the way. We plan to rent transportation and include several stops along Western so that participants can catch a ride if they’d like.
We’d like to include both retail businesses and bars & restaurants. Ideally this will be a busy day for retail businesses during the already busy holiday season. We encourage bars & restaurants to craft a special holiday drink or hors d’oeuvre. All businesses that plan something special, like carolers or kids’ crafts, would likely generate even more interest. This event will be concurrent with the Beverly Art Alliance’s Uprising Holiday Market at the Beverly Art Center, i.e. even more visibility.
In addition to transportation along Western, the MPBHBA will be creating a map of participating businesses, and a shopping “passport” that incentives participants to visit multiple shops/restaurants. Shoppers fill out a "passport" by making purchases. A completed passport enters them into a raffle for a Bucks Stay Here gift card.
The MPBHBA will also advertise this event in the Beverly Review, the 19th Ward Quarterly, on social media, and via a look book.
