For graduation mid-year or prior to one's class, a student must:
(A) meet the graduation course and testing requirements effective the year that the student entered 9th grade for the first time.
(B) Be a student in good standing (no outstanding fees, no discipline issues, etc.).
(C) Request early/mid-year graduation no later than October 31st of the fall semester.
(D) Indicate their desire to participate in the mid-year graduation ceremony held at Cary High School, which will include the formal regalia of the end-of-the-year graduation ceremony. (NOTE: Once a student has decided to graduate mid-year, they are not eligible to participate in spring semester school-sponsored activities.)
(E) Meet with the school counselor regarding post-secondary opportunities. (NOTE: it is the student's responsibility to contact colleges/universities to which they have applied and determine that mid-year graduation will not affect admission status.
