Next Chapter is an 8-month paid apprenticeship program that provides pathways to entry-level software engineering roles for individuals who are justice involved.
The deadline for consideration for our next cohort is *May 3, 2022*. We accept applications on a rolling basis.
Ideal applicants have:
*A passing score from Hack Reactor's technical admissions assessment
*An interest and background in coding--HTML, CSS, Javascript familiarity (6 months+ of self study)
*Project portfolio (open source or otherwise) that display coding skills
*A history of in-prison program participation
*Personal and professional referrals
*Hardworking, dedicated attitude
*Desire to advocate for opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals

Our program is a 8 month paid apprenticeship program. Selected candidates are granted a scholarship to attend Hack Reactor for 3 months, followed by a 5 month apprenticeship at a partner company.
