UCL Chamber Choir auditions

Welcome to UCL Music Society! We are very excited to meet you all very soon, whether that be virtually or in-person!

This year's Chamber Choir auditions will be held on the week of October 12th. The audition will have three components:

1. Piece of your own choice. Please bring along a solo piece of your own choice (though do send it to us at least one week before your audition, so our accompanist can learn the accompaniment, if there is one). It can be anything at all. Whatever you feel most confident signing. Whatever you think shows your voice off best! Please keep it under or around 5 mins though, if you can.

2. Prepared piece. One week before your audition you will be sent some choral music to learn in advance of the audition. You'll perform this accompanied by the piano.

3. Unseen sight reading. In the audition you'll be asked to sight sign some choral music. You won't have seen this music before. Please don't worry though! It'll be straightforward!

We are currently in the process of planning auditions so that they adhere to UCL Union's Covid guidelines, while being convenient and accessible to you.
