Vaccinology Workshop for Early-Career Scientists - Application Form
Vaccinology Workshop for Early-Career Scientists (VWECS)
Date: 18-21 October 2021
Venue: SAMRC Cape Town

The Division of Research Capacity Development at the SAMRC has over the years partnered with Government of Switzerland via the Swiss Vaccine Research Institute and the University of Lausanne (UL) in building capacity within and train the next generation of scientists in the field of vaccinology, by offering funding to scholars that have been accepted for an International Masters in Vaccinology (IMVACC). We have recently formed a similar partnership with the University of the Witwatersrand in respect of the master’s program in Vaccinology at the African Leadership in Vaccinology Expertise (ALIVE) https://www.witsalive.co.za

SAMRC in partnership with WITS ALIVE is excited to bring together early career scientists working in the field of vaccinology. This year’s workshop will include a full day seminar and visitations to Biovac and Aspen vaccine manufacturing sites. Limited funding is available for participation. IMVACC, WITS ALIVE and scholars undergoing specialized training in vaccinology will be prioritized.

To request an invitation to the workshop, please complete the online application form and forward the required documents to Ms Colleen van Wyk on or before 12 August 2021 at colleen.vanwyk@mrc.ac.za

For all other questions regarding participating in the VWECS, please contact by email Dr Lindokuhle Ndlandla lindokuhle.ndlandla@mrc.ac.za
