Students at Thetford Academy are required to have a charged laptop with them daily as part of their school day experience and expectations. TA has the resources to issue a school-owned Chromebook to every student. While younger students are required to use their TA Chromebook, students in grades 10 through 12 have the option to bring a device from home, if they prefer. Parent/Guardian permission is required to do so, and this form provides that permission.
Parents: Please complete this Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) permission form in order to indicate that your student is allowed to bring their own device and that you (and the student) understand that Thetford Academy will filter internet access for this device while on campus and will install filtering software.
Once this form is completed, students must schedule an appointment with IT Coordinator Marisa Cotilletta (marisa.cotilletta@thet.net) to complete the set-up of their computer. The deadline for this form and the set up with Marisa is Friday, September 15.
