As a Volunteer Evaluator in McKnight Hockey:

I understand that the evaluation process occurs in order to place players on appropriate Teams based on skill level.

I will evaluate impartially, using skill and hockey sense as criteria and not let personal relationships influence my results.

I will not evaluate my own child.

I will evaluate on my own and not ask others about their evaluation results. I will not compare notes, scores or rankings with other evaluators.

I will not share comments or opinions with any parent/player or other interested observers.

I will not discuss my evaluations with others, even after the evaluation process is completed. I will show up on time on days when I am evaluating.

I will conduct myself in a responsible and courteous manner.

As a McKnight Hockey Volunteer Evaluator, I understand that:

 1.    I will expect NO special rights or privileges because I am a volunteer.

2.    I understand that even though I may not agree with all McKnight Hockey Policies and Procedures, as a representative of the Association, I have an obligation to publicly support them and I will abide by them at all times. If I do not agree with them, I can work within the system to have them changed.

3.    I accept that because I am a representative of McKnight Hockey, my actions, either positive

or negative, reflect back on all of the other volunteers in the organization.

4.    I will base all of my decisions and actions, in my role as a McKnight Hockey volunteer, on what is best for the majority of hockey players while respecting the rights of the individual.

5.    I will be prepared to listen and respond to any concerns brought to me.

6.    I will be prepared to listen to ideas from other people even though they may differ from my own.

7.    I will judge ideas on their own merit and the benefit they can bring to the Association or Team and do not fall back on "but we've always done it this way".

8.    I will work patiently for improvement.

9.    I will be slow to anger and hard to discourage.

10.   I will treat everyone with respect as per the Hockey Calgary Respect in Sport program and the Hockey Canada Fair Play Code, regardless of gender, place of origin, race, sexual orientation, religion, political belief or economic status.

11.   I will ensure all confidential information is only used as authorized. I not use information receives a part of my volunteer role for my own personal advantage or benefit.
