We encourage and support classroom visitations by parents/guardians.  While this can be a beneficial tool for helping your child and teacher, we do you carefully review the following.  We are committed to student confidentiality and no disruptions of classroom instruction will be allowed. Please note there will be times that observations will not be allowed for example during tests, etc.  Requests to observe a classroom must be made in advance of at least two school days.  Drop-ins or requests before the two school days time period will not be allowed.  Observations are limited to parents and guardians only, no other visitors will be allowed including other children/infants. This is to limit the disruption in the classroom during instructional time.  There are no visits allowed during the first two weeks of school, this is to assist in students getting acclimated to their new classrooms, etc.

As a classroom observer, the following will be required:
     - Turn off all electronic devices before entering the classroom.
     - Recording, pictures, and/or making videos while in the classroom will not be allowed.
     - Stay seated during the observation.  You will be assigned a seat in the classroom.
     - Do not engage in conversation with the students or interrupt instruction.
     - Do not engage in conversation or ask questions of the teacher while observing.
     - Observations will be limited to 30 mins, including recess and lunchtimes.
     - Up to 2 observers per student, either parents or guardians with educational rights only.  All others will not be allowed to visit.
     - The number of visits during the school year will be discussed on a student-by-student basis.  Typically, once a week, twice per month, and 6 times a school year.
