Work with Te Rākau Theatre, Aotearoa New Zealand’s longest surviving independent Māori theatre company with Jim Moriarty MNZM, Kaitohu (Director) & Kaihuawaere (facilitator) along with Helen Pearse-Otene MA, PhD, Kaituhi (writer) & Kaihuawaere (facilitator).
This wānanga will explore Te Rākau's new play 'The Swing' by Helen Pearse-Otene and their approach to creating through a mātauranga Māori lens and connection to mana whenua.

This workshop is funded by Networks of Expertise and is offered at no cost to kaiako.
CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION
- Kaiako must commit to watch the prep work recording of the work which the workshop is based on prior to the workshop. This recording is approx 1hour 15mins.
- As we only have space for 30 participants, if you register and then withdraw at short notice or do not attend your kura will be charged the $125 participant fee. If you withdraw and your place is able to filled you will not be charged.
- No portion of the workshop is to be recorded. Still photos may be taken.
