Food and Refreshments: Set up, monitor, and refresh all coffee and food throughout the day (e.g. brew coffee, put out additional snacks, etc.), and tidy up a bit if need be.

Set-Up Crew: Make sure all necessary supplies are where they need to be before the conference begins, setting up chairs and tables, propping doors open, putting up signs to guide attendees to the proper locations, and making sure all tech and A/V equipment is functioning properly.

Breakdown Crew: Make sure all necessary supplies and technologies are put away and turned off. Closing doors, turning off lights and organizing for next-day activities or end-of-conference demands.

Session Moderators: Be present in the conference room at all times during their assigned session, announce the next speaker (by name, affiliation, and presentation title), and monitor timing of each presentation by keeping track of starting times, ending times, and informing presenters (with signs) of how long they have remaining to speak. This job also involves ensuring on-time transitions between speakers (remind speakers that laptop set-up should be included in presentation time).

Floaters for Day-of Immediate Needs: You will be assigned to a task based on the immediate needs of the LISO committee when you arrive at the conference. You may be asked to take over for a LISO committee member in order for them to moderate one of the talk sessions.

Registration Table for Day-Of Conference Needs: You will be in charge of checking in attendees and presenters, handling payments for conference attendance (including giving out receipts), handing out program folders, and fielding questions.

Friday Night Dinner Crew: If you are scheduled before dinner, you will be setting up the dinner area, and all committee members at the dinner are asked to help clean up the room afterward and be available during the meal in case anything needs to be attended to.
