This is our flagship workshop, conducted by Chetan Mahajan, co-founder of the Himalayan Writing Retreat. Chetan is published with Penguin, and his writing is also published in The Mint, HT Brunch, Outlook Magazine, Hindu Business Line and the Reader's Digest.

This form helps us get to know you better as a writer, and also as a fit for this workshop. If you are a newbie and do not have a writing sample handy, please put a sample down and share it. Don't worry about the quality of writing - we're more interested in your command over language.

This workshop is designed for novice-intermediate level writers of all languages. We've had writers who prefer to write in Kannada, Hindi, Bangla and various other languages.

If your preferred writing language is not English, please share a translation of your work. Working knowledge of English is required, though. The instruction, examples, readings and assignments are all in English.

This Creative Writing Course is rated 5-star. Participants have published 50+ books, and many are in the works. Many have won awards as well.

The dates for the next course are January 17-21, 2024. The fee of INR (Early Bird: Rs.25,000/- + taxes) and the Regular Price of Rs.27,400/- + taxes (Total: Rs.32k) includes all meals & shared accommodation.

For Himalayan Participants: We encourage all participants to take time out to write after the workshop. Himalayan participants can stay on and write immediately after the workshop to make the most of the learning. We offer participants single rooms at 6k/night or 40k/week for longer stays. This includes meals and taxes. If you plan to write in the solitude of the Himalayas, please specify the dates you want to stay on.
