Priority Pledge Form
Members of Seattle DSA recently voted to adopt a model of priority campaigns in 2022-23. (Full text of the resolution below). The rationale for this approach is that when we focus our collective labor and resources on a few key campaigns, we have a better chance of achieving meaningful victories to advance our socialist agenda than when we take a more hands-off approach in which there are no democratically chosen priorities.

We have occasionally voted on priorities as a chapter and while allocating money to these projects through a resolution has been effective, getting our most important collective resource focused on these campaigns – our members’ time and energy – has proved much more difficult. This Priority Pledge is part of an attempt to address this.

By filling out the Priority Pledge, you are committing to contribute to the democratically selected priority campaigns four times in the coming year. The Local Council will work with the organizers of priority campaigns to ensure that there are  lots of ways to contribute to these campaigns so that all of our members can contribute meaningfully!

Which ways would you be willing to support our chapter's democratically chosen priority campaigns? Select all that apply.
Roles marked with a * are suitable for most people and training will be provided. A few of these roles require more specialized skills (eg. sound engineer, web design) so training for these will generally be impractical. Attending events counts towards your four priority pledge actions per year, but there is no checkbox for attending an event as we will be publicizing priority campaign events to all members.
Any other skills you could contribute which are not listed here?
SUPER SUPPORTER OPTION:  Commit to attending one short-notice action per year (see below)
Sometimes conditions change quickly and people are needed on short notice. If you are willing to hold one sick day / vacation day to Seattle DSA per year to help with a short notice event that might otherwise conflict with your work schedule, check this box. If this doesn’t feel feasible for your life for whatever reason, no pressure!
