Reading Buddies 2019-2020
The Metco Coordinating Committee Reading Program needs volunteers to read aloud to kindergarten and first grade students.  Reading aloud has numerous benefits including: encourages language development, strengthens emerging literacy skills, provides practice for developing listening skills, lays a foundation for a life-long love of reading, and strengthens intergenerational relationships.  Volunteer today!  The fall program runs September 26th - December 19th on Thursdays from 3:00pm-4:15pm in the Smith School Library.  We hope volunteers can commit to at least one month of reading, if you can contribute to the fall session or the entire year even better.  Readers help build community.  All volunteers must complete and pass a CORI check.  Any questions please contact lincolnmcckindergartenreading@gmail.com
