Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Legal on the Line - Paralegal Partnership. As you may be aware, COVID-19 has caused an eviction crisis in North Carolina which has greatly increased the number of landlord/tenant cases being handled by Legal Aid of North Carolina. Because these cases are approximately 90% of LANC's referrals right now and they have short deadlines, they cannot often be referred to volunteers. As a result, this project is on hiatus until further notice.
