As a prospective member of the Black Lindy Hoppers Fund you will be making a commitment to our collective effort towards re-shaping and sustaining a Lindy Hop community that is more inclusive, supportive, and reflective of the cultural values of its origins by empowering Black dancers, musicians, researchers and community builders to best serve the community and it’s art.
Membership entitles one to the support and experiences of:
- Impact focused community building through discourse and socials
- Generative residencies/ intensives
- Mentorship facilitation and development
- Stewardship
- Legacy building exchanges
- And more to come.
In exchange we desire:
- Contributive* participation and support of at least 2 programs each year
- Participation and promotional support of the fund’s efforts and activities
- Active championing of the celebration and sharing of Lindy Hop and Jazz Dance
