Community Adviser Reference Form
Community Advisers serve as para-professional advisers to individual students, advise the student government
in their house, and assist in the management of the hall. They are expected to maintain contact with all the
students in their area, establish and maintain order, and promote an atmosphere which will encourage educational and intellectual growth. Criteria used to evaluate applicants includes the following:
understanding of and commitment to departmental objectives.
ability to work as a team member to accomplish these objectives.
ability to communicate with students, parents, peers, and staff.
ability to initiate and structure activities and programs creatively.
