Cancellation Request
We are sorry that you had to cancel your trip to Japan. In order to receive a refund or credit note for your car rental, house rental, activity reservation or tour reservation, please fill out this form with all the necessary information and we will process the cancellation of your order.

Due to the high volume of cancellation requests, the refund procedure is taking a longer than usual, so please bear with us and we will process your cancellation as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

For all travelers who wish to cancel their order and obtain a refund, cancellation fees will apply. For all travelers who would prefer a credit note and who are eligible, you will receive a credit in the amount of the total amount you paid for the order. The credit will be valid 18 months starting from the cancellation date.
Conditions of cancellation
For a credit note, the cancellation request form must be filed as soon as possible and for a refund, it must be respecting the cancellation deadlines for each product : https://www.japan-experience.com/terms-of-sale
Credit notes are only possible for tour reservations and house rentals for trips starting before 28th of February 2020.

In this form, you must indicate whether you prefer a refund or a credit.

Credit note

- If you select the option to receive a credit note, this will correspond to the total amount paid for the order, including delivery costs, without booking fees. All the elements of the order must be returned or the cancellation form submitted must be completed depending on the products.
- The credit will be valid 18months after the cancellation date, you will be able to use it on all the products on the Japan Experience website.
- If the value of your new order is greater than the value of your credit, you will have to pay the difference.

Car rental

- Cancellation up to 24 hours before the start of the rental: no cancellation fees
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before the start of the rental: 100% of the amount of the reservation will be retained
- Please note that the booking fees are not refundable.

House rental

- More than 4 months before the stay: no cancellation fee will be owed
- 4-2 months before the stay: 25% of the booking amount will be charged
- 2-1 months before the stay: 50% of the booking amount will be charged
- Less than a month before arrival: 100% of the amount of the reservation will be charged

Activity reservation

- Cancellation on the day of the activity: 75% of the booking amount will be retained
- From the day before to seven days before the activity: 50% of the amount of the reservation will be retained
- More than seven days before the activity: no cancellation fees

Tours

- Cancellation up to 35 days before departure: 15% cancellation fee
- Cancellation 35 to 21 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee
- Cancellation 20 to 8 days before departure: 75% cancellation fee
- Cancellation 7 days before departure on the day of departure: non-refundable

Special cancellation fees for cruises:
 -5% more than 121 days before the departure date
- 25% between 120 and 76 days before the departure date
- 50% between 75 and 46 days before the departure date
- 80% between 45 and 16 days before the departure date (for shareable 100%)
- 100% from 15 days before the departure date

For any excursions during the tour, from 90 days before the departure date: 100% cancellation fees.

Special cancellation fees for Olympic Games tours: 100% of the total amount
