Reconnect and Rediscover Kansas | 2024 Kansas Museums Association Conference | Fort Scott | November 6-8
The Kansas Museums Association is pleased to open the Request for Proposals for 2024 Conference presentations.  This year's conference will be held in Fort Scott, November 6-8, 2024.  We are looking for people who are eager to share stories of growth, change, successes and challenges as we learn from each other in community.

Conference presentations can include workshops, single-presenter sessions, and panel sessions.  If you have a presentation idea but would like to showcase other examples or work with a panel, please submit a proposal and the KMA Program Committee can help you find additional speakers. Make this the best educational experience of the year and give back to museum staff, board members, and volunteers by being a part of the 2024 KMA Conference!

Do you have a great proposal, but can't afford to come?  Submit your proposal and apply for a scholarship. Scholarships and travel funds are available: ***** For more information on scholarships please visit KMA's website and watch for upcoming emails this summer.*****

Application deadline: June 14, 2024 at 5:00 pm

Selection Process
We will select our slate of conference programming based on the information provided here. Please do not limit yourself and provide enough information to allow us to understand your session’s objectives. You may need time to “flesh out” your ideas and you may not yet know specific speakers you would like to join you, but please give us your thoughts on the number of speakers and their topics or points of view related to your session. If you have questions, please feel free to email Program Chair Cori Sherman North at corinorth@gmail.com.

**Please Note: If you are interested in presenting a panel session or presenting with a partner but do not have co-presenter or full panel, submit your proposal as is.  KMA will work with you to complete the panel or find a suitable co-presenter.

Travel, lodging and other expenses are the responsibility of each presenter. Session times and dates are set by KMA, although we will accommodate requests as possible.

All presenters are expected to register for the conference. No exceptions are permitted.
