The HAM Database is a project of the Canadian Association for Health Humanities (CAHH). Through this database we aim to provide a unique resource of Canadian-sourced health humanities content from a variety of genres and categories. Please note the submission form cannot be saved once it has been started.
INCLUSION:
Multiple genres will be accepted. However, please ensure there is a "Canadian connection" - for example, at least one of the following:
1. The author/artist/poet etc. has a personal Canadian connection, such as by citizenship or a period of residency.
2. The work is published within Canada.
3. The work contains key content elements related to Canada (e.g., setting in a piece of fiction).
EXCLUSION:
Original, unpublished work will NOT be accepted.
Health Humanities papers in scholarly journals will NOT be accepted, but other non-fiction publications will be considered (for example, Encounters: CMAJ Narratives).
Please prepare the following information for your submission:
1. Identifying information of the work, including title, author, publisher, place and date published, and page count (if applicable).
2. A one to two sentence objective, nonjudgmental description of the work.
Thank you for your contribution to the HAM Database! Submissions will be reviewed and confirmed by a curatorial board.
