Each year at Summer Institute, MAASE celebrates a special colleague who:
* Is a Special Education administrator at the local, regional or state level.
* Has made signiﬁcant contributions on behalf of Special Education.
* Has demonstrated quality service in the ﬁeld of Special Education.
* Has exhibited integrity in his/her daily work and relationships.
* Has diverse involvement in both the community and educational arenas.
* Has demonstrated leadership beyond the scope of his/her position.
* Has made contributions to Special Education with statewide signiﬁcance (e.g. research, committee/task force work,
organization involvement, legislative inﬂuence).
* Has made signiﬁcant contributions to MAASE.
* Has proven him or herself to be a visionary.
* Possesses personal attributes that make him/her an outstanding representative of the Beekman Award.

Complete the nomination form below no later than MAY 29, 2020. The Awards Committee will review all nominations. If your colleague is selected to move further through the process, they will reach out to the three colleagues you provide on this nomination form for additional supporting information.
