Mental Health and School Safety Survey for Buchanan Community Schools
BCS is applying to receive 31aa Mental Health and School Safety funds through the Michigan Department of Educations. Allowable areas of expense are as follows:

Hiring additional support staff for student mental health needs
Purchasing mental health screening tools
Providing mental health personnel
Coordination with local law enforcement (School Resource Officer)
Safety training for staff
Safety infrastructure (i.e. cameras, doors, locks, window screenings)
Training for students and families on gun ownership
Safety Management System
