Thank you for visiting the website for the questionnaire survey on the Japan’s development assistance for health (DAH). The purpose of the survey is to evaluate DAH of Japan from the viewpoint of African grass-roots civil society and communities working on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria and for resilient and sustainable systems for health (RSSH). The survey is hosted by a Japanese non-profit organization, named Africa Japan Forum, with the support of African civil society: EANNASO and RAME. We would be very grateful if you could cope with our survey by answering the questionnaire.
Purpose of the Questionnaire Survey
This year, the 7th replenishment of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria will take place. Japan has been the 5th largest donor of the Global Fund. Japan has been funding many other health-related international organizations and playing a leading role in developing global health policies with other countries and key multilateral agencies for health. It has been contributing its bilateral aid to improve the health situation in Africa. Japan will hold the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8) in Tunisia this August.
In this opportunity, we would like to review how Japanese DAH has contributed to and improved health at the community level directly and indirectly by financial and technical assistance bilaterally and multilaterally, from the aspects of visibility, accessibility, and transparency, effectiveness and benefits. We would be very grateful if you could answer the questionnaire. In this survey, you are requested to write frankly about what you have seen, heard, or experienced regarding Japanese health assistance. There is no need to thank, praise, or dare to criticize Japan for its assistance.
Based on your answers, we will develop a report on the survey, including policy recommendations for Japanese Development Assistance for Health. We take great care in handling your personal information and will not use it for any other purpose.
If you have any questions and suggestions on the questionnaire, please feel free to send your e-mail to;
