Violent Intruder Response Training: A Case Study of the Parkland School Shooting Incident
On September 13th from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM in Grimm Hall Denault Auditorium, The Irvine Police Department will be presenting a case study on the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting incident and discuss best practices for violent intruder response. The presentation will take place at 3:30 PM and will be followed by an opportunity for participants to practice the protective steps they learned in exercise scenarios. The exercise scenarios will begin around 5:00 PM and are optional (but highly recommended!). Exercise participants must have attended the presentation.
