Topics “Face-off: online hearing v. in-person hearing”
Description :
During the COVID-19 pandemic, travel restrictions have made holding in-person hearings difficult and the arbitration community has responded in a swift fashion by adopting virtual hearings and utilizing technology in international arbitration. In this webinar, we will evaluate this trend by navigating the following questions: Are virtual hearings suitable for all types of hearings? Can virtual hearings be time and cost effective when compared to in-person hearings? What are some of the challenges of virtual hearings? What are some useful tips for virtual hearings to improve the online experience? To what extent might virtual hearings overtake in-person hearings as the “new normal”?
