What AVID is...
• For students who WANT to go to college.
• For students who are capable of completing a college prep path.
• An in-school academic class that prepares students for college eligibility and success.
• Places motivated, proficient and above, students in advanced classes and then provides support with tutoring.
• Stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination.

What AVID isn't...
• A remedial program.
• A program that helps students graduate high school.
• A college outreach program.
