Ottawa Fringe Tech Questionnaire 2022
Here is what you need to know:

*The tech questionnaire is due on February 14th.  
*DO NOT REQUEST A PARTICULAR VENUE.
*  If you feel that more information is needed, please contact the production staff via email at ted@ottawafringe.com.  Accuracy is vital and you must inform us as soon as possible of any changes.
*  The more precise you are, the better we will be able to assign a venue and help you when you arrive.
*  Turn around time between performance is limited to 30 minutes which leave a MAXIMUM  of 15 minutes for both set up and strike.
*  Bulky or complicated sets pose a concern both on and off the stage.
*  We will not provide sets or props for you.
*  We have limited storage space for sets, costumes, or anything else and make no guarantees.
*  Assume that your set pieces will at one time or another need to fit easily through a standard doorway (30 inches x 80 inches) and that you will set up and strike unassisted.

Note:  Because these two festivals overlap, steps are are taken to ensure no company has overlapping shows. This policy does NOT apply to BYOV shows.
What are your audio requirements?  Do you need microphones and/or Mic stands? *
Note:  All audiovisual gear such as slide projectors, film projectors, data projectors, projection screens, etc. or any A/V adaptors or cables of any sort must be supplied by the Company
Does your show require special lighting?  If yes, please give a general description of effects. *
Note: Each venue has a standard "house" lighting plot, but each company is allowed up to two (2) lighting specials for your show.
What are the particulars of your set? *
Please include details, include all measurements where possible
Are there any other special technical needs or considerations we should be aware of?  Please be as specific as possible. *
For example:  Will you be using stage blood or getting the floor wet?  Do you need a crossover backstage?  Will you be making a mess?  Etc...
Do you use any flame, firearms, or other pyrotechnics? *
*Use of pyrotechnics are strictly regulated.  All sets, properties, and costumes must comply with fire regulations.  Fireproofing and the use of fire retardant materials is the company's responsibility and is mandatory.  Fringe production staff reserve the right to prohibit the use of any special effects that may be hazardous.  Please discuss any proposed effects with our Production Manager as soon as possible so that it may be safely accomplished.
