Internship Areas

Communications: This intern will create and manage outgoing communications from the SWSG office to the public. This may include creation of blog posts about the SWSG community, construction of e-newsletters, social media curation and management, planning and execution of organization-wide PR or marketing initiatives, and event management. This position requires strong writing skills, a self-led approach to work, advanced attention to detail, and commitment to the mission of SWSG. (Graduate or Undergraduate students are eligible).
Events & Fundraising: This intern will contribute to fundraising and event planning for SWSG. This may include grant research, writing, and editing, development tracking, and relationship building. The intern will also support with SWSG's major events, including support for external communications and event logistics. This position requires great writing skills, superior organization skills, event experience, and commitment to the mission of SWSG. (Graduate or undergraduate students are eligible).
Human Resource/Administration: This intern will support office operations and administrative processes . This may include financial filing, database maintenance, and improvement of operations and human resources processes. An ideal candidate for this position is a student in business or human resources with superior organizational skills and a self-led approach to work.
Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning: This intern will assist in collecting data and evaluating the impact of SWSG. This intern will support MEL events to engage stakeholders, support data entry and analysis, and help implement mixed-methods data collection processes including: focus groups, interviews, and surveys. Experience with Excel, data analysis software, or Salesforce is a plus but is not required. Qualitative evaluation skills including content analysis are also a plus (to interpret and analyze focus group and interview transcripts). (Graduate or Undergraduate students are eligible).
Program/Community Outreach: This intern will help build relationships with the communities that SWSG serves and support the execution of our programs (either the mentoring program for 3rd-5th grade girls or our Strong Leader program for professional women). This position can involve attending community events, communicating with stakeholders and community members, and preparing supplies and materials for the programs. An ideal candidate for this position will have great writing skills, confidence in public speaking, and experience in event planning. (Graduate students are preferred, but highly-skilled Undergraduate students with experience in social work or human services will be considered)
