Thank you for your interest in helping kittens in our community. Kittens need special care until they are eight weeks of age. This care includes bottle feeding, teaching to eat solid food (weaning), grooming and cleaning, assistance with elimination and potty training. Please complete this form and someone will be in touch with you within 48 hours.

The following are requirements to foster:

* 18 years of age or older
* Make appointments and keep appointments with the shelter clinic (no cost to you)
* Allow kittens to be spayed or neutered when the veterinarian determines it is appropriate
* Take excellent care of your kittens at all times. If you are unable to do so, you must bring them back to the shelter.
* Keep kittens safe and separated from household pets until authorized by veterinarian to introduce

Bottle-fed orphans (fed every 2-3 hours around the clock for first 2 weeks of life)

Transitional orphans (fed and cared for every 3-4 hours around the clock during third to fifth week of life. Bottle feeding support may be required).

Friendly, weaned orphans (eating on their own and will need help learning to use the litter box).

Fearful, weaned orphans (same as above, except will need extra attention and socialization to become friendly)

Friendly mothers with newborns (mother cares for kittens while you care for mother).

Feral mothers with newborns (mothers are fractious and not socialized to people; will need a separate, safe, and secure area such as a bathroom or climate-controlled spare room).
