KotoriCon is run with the energy of volunteers and could not happen without them. There are two types of volunteers; the "Planning Committee", and the "Day-of" Volunteers. WIth our SPORTS theme this year we need all hands helping!
Planning Committee members work all year taking care of all the details big and small needed for KotoriCon to run safely and smoothly.
Day-Of volunteers can be seen running around helping in every corner of the con! It is our friendly crew of volunteers that gave us our reputation as "the little anime con with a big heart". Volunteers are asked to commit to working a total of 6 hours over BOTH days of the con. You will get a staff t-shirt and some snacks.
To be a volunteer at KotoriCon, if you are not already a Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) student, you MUST BE 18 OR OLDER to apply.
Upon being accepted as a volunteer you will be required to complete online Title IX training. A link to this training will be emailed to you.
You will be required to wear a KotoriCon Staff t-shirt while on a shift. You will be given this shirt so we can easily find our volunteers. You will also be given a name tag. When NOT on your shift you can change and wear cosplay, but when on your shifts YOU MUST WEAR YOUR STAFF SHIRT.
If you are not a previous volunteer, RCSJ or Rowan Univeristy student, or RCSJ or RU staff please contact us at
volunteers@kotoricon.org for more information on the process which will include a background check and purchasing a Kotoricon ticket as well as the volunteer title IX training.
ALL VOLUNTEERS are invited to attend two volunteer orientations; Friday December 6 at 7PM in the Cafeteria Annex in the College Center, and Wednesday January 8 at 7 PM in Instructional Center room 430 at Rowan College of South Jersey Gloucester Campus (1400 Tanyard Rd., Sewell NJ). You will need to bring a valid photo ID to the training sessions and to KotoriCon to show when you sign in.
