Educational Technology Standards Revision Application - Summer 2020
The South Dakota Department of Education is seeking K-12 and postsecondary educators to serve on a standards revision workgroup for educational technology. The South Dakota Board of Education Standards will hold public hearings on the revised standards beginning in fall 2020.

South Dakota state content standards are reviewed on a cyclical basis approved by the State Board of Education Standards, per SDCL 13-3-48. The review process allows educators to analyze what is working or identify challenges and propose revisions.  The current SD standards for education technology were last adopted in 2015.

The department is seeking approximately 30 members for this workgroup. Applications are due May 1.

Workgroup members will be paid a stipend for work completed. Workgroup members must participate in virtual meetings starting in May and finishing in June. Workgroup members will be identified and notified by May 14.
