GXCC Junior Fund-raiser - "100km in March"
You may have heard that last year, the senior section each ran 100km in June. They set out to raise £3,500, and ended up raising £15,000 for the club (with a 15% donation going to the Thames Hospice).

This March, we’re challenging the junior section and their families to complete 100km (run/walk) and in doing so raise £10,000+ to refurbish our training nets and support Cancer Research.

Everyone wins, the club with better facilities, cancer research with a donation and you and your family by improving your fitness, while getting some fresh air.

Now 100km doesn’t sound like much, but believe us it is quite a challenge and if you’re up for it, you can do more. You have the choice though; to run is SOLO, or as a FAMILY. So, if a family of 4 go for a 5k run/walk together, this counts as 20k completed!

To monitor, record and celebrate your achievements, we will be using Strava (available from App Stores) and JustGiving to record the donations. We’ll also have a WhatsApp group so you can ‘support’ each other.

We really want everyone to be involved in this and push some serious fund raising - it’s also great fun! If we can go over the £10k mark, and get closer to £20k, then we give GXCC the opportunity to add further development to the training facilities. This would be the ultimate achievement!

Steve Rimmer & Rob Catteral are running this event, and will be with you every step of the way. To sign up now, please fill in the below form, and we will send you more information ready for a start on March 1st.
