Anna is a Czech historian and member of the history faculty at the University of Warwick. She specialises in the study of everyday life in 20th century Central and Eastern Europe, both during the state of exception and after, with a special focus on (the erasure of) stories related to sexuality. Her first book, The Last Ghetto: An Everyday History of Theresienstadt, just came out last month and focuses on everyday life in the Terezin transit ghetto. It was awarded the Irma Rosenberg and Herbert Steiner Prizes.
