We know that sometimes it's hard to make the commitment to a whole 4 or 6 week dance series due to a busy timetable. Sometimes life throws us some curveballs and we have to adapt. But sometimes, an opportunity like this comes up too - and if you have a window in your busy schedule now is the time!
Join us for our Fast Track Classes. Held twice a month on Saturdays, this 3 hour long session will give you all the tools you need to start swing dancing in just one setting. Our experienced teachers will guide you through material that is normally spread over a 4 week course in 3 hours. It will be fast but also efficient and effective. For those of you that like a concentrated dose of learning, this is the course for you. After 3 hours we promise you will have all the tools and material you need to get started swing dancing anywhere, anytime.
In this workshop, we work on the charleston aspect of swing dance and lindy hop. Charleston is a dance from the 1920s that was incorporated into the lindy hop and became part of the swing dance lexicon when the 30s and 40s came along and the music changed. Many modern day dances derive from the charleston, such as shufflin', running man and many steps of house dance and old school hip hop. Charleston is one of the 3 cornerstones of modern day swing dance and lindy hop and is a valuable family of steps to learn for the slightly uptempo songs. There are many unique variations in the charleston family that adds variety and diversity to your swing dancing but yet can stand-alone as it's own dance. Get dancing in just 3h with our friendly teachers in a one off Saturday afternoon session.
Tiered Pricing - Bring more friends, get a cheaper per person price for class! We want to spread the joy dancing to as many people as possible, so we want to encourage you to get your friends/family/whoever to come dancing with you.
Only 1 person needs to sign up and make payment for all, but when indicating pls use the appropriate option for how many people will be in your group.
One Person - $100
Two People - $180 (90sgd each)
Three People - $240 (80sgd each)
Four People - $280 (70sgd each)
Five People -$ 300 (60sgd each)
We will only ask for payment when the class has been confirmed as we require a minimum number to proceed with class. Once we have gathered enough people, you will be added into a whatsapp chat group where there will be a meet and greet with the course instructors and payment instructions, as well as with the other classmates! We look forward to dancing with you!
At BSL we do not believe that biological gender define the roles of the lead and follow in our dance, and we feel that it is wonderful that both genders can learn both roles in the dance. If you have a preference or if you feel uncomfortable dancing with a person of the same gender, please let our teachers know. They will work out something suitable.
