Beginning for the 2022-2023 Season, anyone wishing to be a part of the Tip Toes and Taps Junior or Senior Company must audition annually. All Junior and Senior Company Members are also considered Members of our Stars Performance Team and will enjoy more local, and some out of town, performances and master class opportunities.

Company Members will be required to have excellent behavior in class, be enrolled in all required company classes as well as Stars Performance Team classes, have regular attendance, and be able to attend scheduled performances throughout the season. *Tentative season schedule to be provided in Company Contract - provided with audition results letter if selected to be a member of the Company.

The audition will consist of a classical ballet class to warm up and teach movement to the dancers. A short dance combination will be taught to the class then the class will be divided into small groups to perform the combination in front of the panel of judges. Students are evaluated from the moment they enter the studio room for the audition. Our judging panel is evaluating each student on behavior, enthusiasm,  flexibility, technical ability, how quickly they are able to learn and repeat movements, performance quality and overall attitude.

IF YOU ARE AUDITIONING FOR SENIOR COMPANY YOU MUST HAVE:
- A  self-choreographed solo (between 2-3 minutes in length) in either ballet, lyrical or contemporary.
- Your own music  as well as a costume to change into for your solo performance. Costumes may be as simple or extravagant as you would like - we want to see the complete vision for your solo performance.
- A 1-page typed or handwritten paper including: your name, the title of your piece (not the name of the song - create your own title for your dance) and an explanation for the judging panel on the inspiration of your choreography as well as why you chose the genre, music and costume of your choice.
- A brief interview with the judging panel after your solo performance.  

~ Junior Company Audition ~
Saturday, May 21st from 1:00-2:30pm w/ $25 Audition Fee
Any dancer with at least 4 years performing experience with a studio, church, or school performing dance company, and who will be age 10 by January 1, 2023 may audition.  
***These criteria may be waived for those dancers recommended by their current dance teacher.  Please speak with your teacher regarding this waiver.  

~ Senior Company Audition ~
Saturday, May 21st from 1:00-3:00pm w/ $25 Audition Fee
Any dancer with at least 6 years performing experience with a studio, church, or school performing dance company, and who will be age 13 by January 1, 2023 may audition.  
***These criteria may be waived for those dancers recommended by their current dance teacher. Please speak with your teacher regarding this waiver.

Please note - upon acceptance as a Company Member, you will be required to sign the Company Contract, as well as take all mandatory classes, including summer classes.    

For the audition, please wear proper ballet attire, with the hair secured out of the face and in a bun.

Anyone interested in auditioning must submit this form NO LATER THAN Friday, May 13, 2022. Once you submit your audition form you will be invoiced, via email, for your non-refundable $25 Audition Fee, which must be paid to secure your place in the audition class.
