LETTER FROM SAMAHAN TO ALUMNI & FRIENDS
Dear Alumni, Former Co-Workers, and Friends,

Greetings of peace and all good!

On behalf of the St. Joseph’s College Workers’ Association (SAMAHAN), I would like to thank you all for your  generous gift to the workers of SJCQC. Your gift  provides not only the financial but also the moral support we need to cope with the effect of the COVID pandemic. It is heartwarming to know that in these trying times you have demonstrated the Josephine spirit of solidarity. Your response to the plight of the workers is aptly captured in your campaign slogan Handog Alumni: Care to Share. You shared because you care, and that is your “handog” (gift).”

I would like to extend special thanks to the Handog Alumni: Care to Share Team for its passion and dedication in undertaking this noble cause. There is no way to fully express our gratitude for your kindness, but to say, maraming, maraming salamat!  While we pray for the swift end of this pandemic, let us also pray for the faculty and personnel who are affected by the recent retrenchment. God bless and stay safe!

Amparo dela Cruz-Manaligod
President
SJC Workers’ Association (SAMAHAN)

RESPONSE TO SAMAHAN FROM HANDOG SJCQC ALUMNI COMMITTEE
Dear Ms. Pao:

Peace and all good!

The Handog SJCQC Alumni: Care to Share Team would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to you and the SAMAHAN for giving us an opportunity to be of service to the SJC personnel whom all Josephines deem as their extended family. Charity begins at home as they say so we thank you for reaching out to us so that we could demonstrate the Josephine spirit as one big family in our second home, our Alma Mater. Each donation is indeed a genuine expression of care for each member of our Josephine family.

As a Team we also had an opportunity to learn from each other as we campaigned for this laudable cause and attain our goal, even beyond, to the very end. We can claim with confidence that we became a better and changed Josephine from the time we started this campaign to the time this campaign has ended. So, we thank you for this opportunity for us to grow individually and collectively as Josephines as well.

As we finally accomplished our mission, may the SAMAHAN members and all those who were recipients of the "gift" perceive their plight now in a better light and that their burden lighter. May all of us come from a place of appreciation knowing that with our collective effort that we made other people's lives a little bit better, especially in this time of crisis.

As we also end each day from hereon, may we continue to pray for SJC's survival as an educational institution and to thrive steadfastly in these difficult times.

We are all proud to be Josephines joining hands to serve the very people that make and keep the spirit of our Alma Mater alive. Long live the Josephine spirit!

May God be with us all!

Our gratitude,

Handog SJCQC Alumni Team
