2. LGBTQIA+ youth account for 40% of the homeless unaccompanied minors, while the LGBTQIA+ community accounts for about 10% of the general population. Currently Hawai‘i has no safe-haven shelters for homeless unaccompanied minors. What do you propose that the County due to rectify this situation? *

3. Bullying and harassment are widespread problems with significant adverse consequences for students. What do you think that the County can do to address bullying and harassment in county run programs and beyond. *

4. Is there any plank in the platform of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i you do not agree with or would change? *

5. LGBTQIA+ seniors face unique barriers in gaining access to housing, healthcare, long-term care and other needed services. How would you address these issues on the county level? *

6. Hate crimes have been underreported in the state of Hawai‘i for the past 20 years. What do you think the County can do to get accurate reports of hate crimes. *
