Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) Program
Introduction

The Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) program is a partnership that aims to unlock for women led/owned businesses (WSMEs) in developing countries. The initiative is housed in the World Bank Group.

The program in Zambia intends to build capacity, scale -up Access to Finance (A2F), expand networks, offer mentorships and provide opportunities to link with domestic and global markets. Zambia We-Fi program seeks formal women-led/owned Small Medium Enterprises (WSMEs) with more than 5 employees for support and the project.

The World Bank has contracted Kudu Consulting to scale up local women entrepreneurs’ access to financial products and services and provide capacity building in financial and business management through training, coaching, mentorship as well as facilitate ongoing networking.

As part of the process of developing the capacity building program and recruitment process, Kudu Consulting has developed an application form for registration purposes and rapid capacity building needs assessment tool. The rapid capacity building needs assessment tool will identify challenges and skills gaps in various WSMEs that prevent them from achieving their desired performance goals and objectives especially regarding access to financial services and products and business growth.

We-Fi Zambia program is available for women entrepreneurs across the country, but such should be available to attend scheduled physical meetings and networking programs that may be called time and again in Lusaka and Kitwe. The program is competitive and only growth-oriented women entrepreneurs will be considered.
