Brighten Up Caroline LED Light Bulb Distribution Resident Agreement
The Brighten Up Caroline project is funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), directed by the Town of Caroline’s Energy Independent Caroline committee, and supported by the Caroline Town Board.
Brighten Up Caroline is required under the conditions of the NYSERDA grant to collect these signed agreements in order to document their use of grant funds.
The goal of Brighten Up Caroline is to collectively save Caroline residents $66,000 per year and reduce community energy usage by 550,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity. The LED light bulbs distributed through this program give the same light as 60W incandescent light bulbs while using much less energy. Twelve LEDs in high-use locations will save you approximately $80/year in energy costs over incandescents. Each bulb will save you approximately $100 over its lifetime.
