2022 Summer Arts Lessons - Registration Form

Register your student group for 1 of 2 different Arts lessons in June 2022!  Lesson descriptions, grade levels, dates, and times are detailed below.

Lesson Option #1: "Painted Paper Bugs and Butterflies"
*  June 7th and 8th, 2022 (two-day lesson)
*  10:00 AM - 10:30 AM CDT
*  Grades K-2
*  Live on Zoom
*  NESC and our guest artist from the ND Council on the Arts lead the way while your local teacher provides on-site support!

Required Lesson Materials (to be purchased or gathered by the school/site and have ready prior to the live lesson):

Day 1
*  tagboard, large watercolor paper, or large stiff paper like tru ray construction paper
*  protective table covering (This can also be saved for a beautiful collage material for later if you'd like!)
*  round brushes, medium and large
*  tempera paint and shallow paint cups (These will be set up at warm and cool color stations.)
*  space to dry papers (The papers can be put on tables or cabinets or can be hung on a clothesline.)

Day 2
*  dried painted paper from the last lesson
*  crayons
*  markers
*  scissors
*  glue
*  paper fastener brads (optional)

Lesson Option #2: "Doodled Feather Watercolors with Wax Resist"
*  June 15th and 16th, 2022 (two-day lesson)
*  10:00 AM - 10:30 AM CDT
*  Grades 3-5
*  Live on Zoom
*  NESC and our guest artist from the ND Council on the Arts lead the way while your local teacher provides on-site support!

Required Lesson Materials (to be purchased or gathered by the school/site and have ready prior to the live lesson):

Day 1:
*  watercolor paper (9x12 or larger)
*  pencils
*  black sharpies, one size or assorted sizes
*  white crayons

Day 2:
*  drawings from the previous day
*  1 watercolor set per student (Our guest artist prefers using dry pan watercolor like this: https://www.michaels.com/36-color-watercolor-pan-set-by-artists-loft-necessities/10122060.html?r=g )
*  assorted brush sizes
*  small cups for water (half full)
*  paper towels
*  salt (optional)
*  painters tape (optional)
