Online form: Updates on new laptops for educators - information on faulty devices requested
September 2021

The MUT has held further discussions with the Ministry for Education regarding the replacement of laptops which is long overdue. The Ministry is still insisting that the issue is beyond its control as the reason for the delay is due to the shortage of electronic components required for the fabrication of laptops by the respective company.

As a way forward, to ensure that all educators have a laptop which is functional, it was agreed that the MUT shall be providing a list of educators who have faulty or malfunctioning laptops so that the Ministry takes the required action. Whilst a similar exercise was carried out by the MUT some months ago, and the list has been passed to the Ministry, the union is repeating the exercise and is inviting educators who have a malfunctioning laptop to fill the form below. The list will be passed to the Ministry for action and the union shall be following the cases. The MUT is also extending the form to educators in Church and independent schools - these shall be forwarded to the respective employers and followed separately.

Please fill in and submit the form below. All information submitted will be treated with the strictest confidence.
