Volunteering is a gift of time. We thank you in advance for your gift to our school community. We hope to reduce the ask of all volunteers by encouraging many to play a small role that interests them.The more volunteers we have, the lighter the work required to meet the needs of our Wildcat Community. Please find below a range of opportunities that may meet your scheduling/skills/interests.

We also have a need for those with carpentry and artistic skill sets. Please contact WeissElementaryPTO@gmail.com if you have these skills and would like to build something at home in your spare time.

EXECUTVE BOARD * Vice President - Leads programs in support of Weiss, provides direction and support to all volunteers to ensure the mission and vision of the PTO is being achieved.

EXECUTIVE BOARD * Secretary - Attends monthly PTO meetings, records and stores monthly minutes, coordinates communication among volunteers. Creates PTO collateral (e.g., flyers, posters, hand outs).

Math Pentathlon Program Coordinator - (On-site Before School Program) Primary point of contact for the school club. Drives student and parent participation. Training required and provided by the PTO.

Event Coordinator - (At-Home w/On-site Meetings for Event Planning) Works to coordinate volunteer drives for each event. Identifies Event Chairs for each event.

Event Chair - (On-site, Limited Duration) Coordinates one of the following events: Monster Mash, Cookies with Santa, March Reading Month, Family Fun Nights, Book Fair, Carnival, Teacher Appreciation Week.

Social Media Manager - (At Home, Ongoing 1-2 Hrs P/Week) Helps keep our faculty, parents and students up to date with posts to the Weiss PTO Facebook group and updating content on the PTO website.

Fundraising Coordinator - (At Home, Ongoing 1-2 Hrs P/Week) Drives awareness and participation in year round passive fundraising efforts (Box Tops, Business Sponsors, Coca-Cola Gives). Coordinates collection of Coca Cola codes and volunteer participation in processing codes.

Rewards Manager (2 positions) - (At Home, Ongoing 1-2 Hrs P/Week) Collects and processes Coca Cola codes and Box Tops labels.
