Welcome Neighbor ESL Student information
Please fill this out for the person needing English lessons. This means you are willing to be the family partner contact for this person, and the tutor will reach out to you for help communicating with the student.
These classes are at a beginner level and are for those with little English knowledge; we focus mainly on listening and speaking.  They will be matched with a tutor that comes to their home once a week to review specific topics.  The student is also expected to attend a live zoom class (or watch the recording) for an additional hour each week.  They will need wifi and a device (laptop/tablet) that can connect to zoom in order to be part of the program. The student must also have refugee status or other immigration documentation and provide such before tutoring can begin. Please discuss this with them to see if they understand the expectations and are interested in being part of the program before you sign them up.
