All proposals will be considered, but preference will be given to experienced educators, published writers, and others actively working in literary fields (editors, agents, publishers, etc.).
Instructors will have the choice of a $100 honorarium or free full conference registration. If there is more than one instructor/panelist for a program, the $100 honorarium will be divided equally among the total number of instructors/panelists. However, each instructor/panelist may choose a conference registration in lieu of their proportional payment.
Sessions should be a total of 75 minutes long, giving instructors 60 minutes for content and allowing for 15 minutes of Q&A.
Presentation Formats include:
Individual or Panel: Focus on a theme or issue that will engage a variety of writers from new writers to established writers. The most successful panels include a range of perspectives and case studies with practical strategies that have broad applications to many different kinds of writers.
Roundtable: Short presentation by the individual and/or panel, followed by a moderated discussion with the audience about a particular topic.
Workshop: Guiding attendees through a series of hands-on activities in which they apply the skills and concepts being covered to their own work (or example pieces). These kinds of sessions often include the showcasing of abilities and the imparting of knowledge that can be used immediately by the audience in order to help them meet their personal writing goals.
Please complete and submit the following proposal form by Sunday, March 31, 2024.
