PERFORMER CONTRACT 1) Come to rehearsal on time, prepared with the script, a pencil, water, and comfortable clothing and shoes. (Please call or text if you’re running late!) 2) PLAN AHEAD for meals/snacks by eating PRIOR to REHEARSAL. We will not provide meal breaks during rehearsals, only short bathroom breaks. 3) Attend all rehearsals and performances, except for those submitted as conflicts. 4) Rehearse blocking, choreography, music, and lines at home. 5) Meet all off book (memorization) deadlines. 6) Always try your best and accept and attempt every piece of direction you receive. 7) Focus in rehearsal. Do not get distracted or talk out of turn. 8) Respect the director, choreographer, and all cast mates. 9) Be a leader, but do not make any other actor feel inferior or less important. 10) Do not give other actors notes. Understand that everyone has an important role to play, and support every actor in the rehearsal process. Directors will provide feedback & notes when necessary. 11) There is often a down time and waiting in the rehearsal process. If you are not on stage, support fellow actors by being an attentive audience. 12) Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all community events. Remember that you are representing Places! at all community performances. 13) Come to rehearsals with a smile, a positive attitude, and HAVE FUN! Should actors struggle with the expectations, they will receive (1) a warning, (2) meeting with the directors and parents, and should the behavior continue, (3) removal from the cast.
