2023 NCPEID Conference Proposals
The 2023 NCPEID Annual Conference will be held in-person on July 13-15, 2023 at the Crowne Plaza Crystal City (Washington, D.C.). The conference will return to an in-person format this year. Attendees and presenting authors must be current NCPEID members and must register for the conference.

The call for proposals will open on February 7 and the closing has been extended until April 15, 2023.  You will be notified on the status of your proposal acceptance by May 14.

Poster Presentation:
-Posters should present current research, or most current research related issues such as advocacy, professional development, or other areas.
-Poster presentation proposals should include the following sections and/or headers: Title; Authors, Affiliation, Contact information; Introduction/Purpose; Methodology; Results/Discussion; Summary/Conclusions.
-Posters should be hung for display at your designated area at the start of the conference on 7/1/23 and will remain on display throughout the conference.
-Posters should be in portrait orientation, with a recommended size of 36 inches wide by 48 inches high. When preparing your poster, we recommend using large type and print font that can be reasonably read from a distance. 
Free Communication Presentation:
-Free communications should be centered on research, best practices, advocacy, grant seeking, or other areas. The free communications should be formatted as a 12-minute oral presentation that will be presented to the entire audience of attendees, followed by 3 minutes of Q&A.
Round Table Discussions:
-Lead one 20 to 30-minute collaborative discussion with a group of the conference attendees. The Roundtable Discussions are intended to collate and/or build resources (e.g., white papers, position statements, shared ideas) to enhance the organization’s stance and current major issues in the profession, or to enhance practice (e.g., teaching tips, strategies for practitioners, etc.). Please note that A/V resources may not be available for Roundtable Discussion sessions.
Emerging Scholars Symposium:
 -This session is dedicated to students and practitioners who are new to but actively engaged in the research process and are seeking feedback from scholars in the field. The lead author accepted for the Emerging Scholars Symposium will have their conference registration fees waived. A limited number of Emerging Scholars Sessions will be accepted.

Emerging Scholars Symposium will be designed in the following format:
-Students or practitioners orally presenting their research in progress to the entire audience (3-5 min per presenter).
-Followed by a 30-minute breakout session, where the emerging scholars receive additional feedback and inquiries individually from audience members at their poster.
-Proposals should include the following sections and/or headers: Title; Authors, Affiliation, Contact information; Introduction/Purpose; Methodology; Preliminary Findings/Results/Discussion (if applicable); Summary/Conclusions (if applicable)
-Posters should be hung for display at your designated area at the start of the conference on 7/13 and will remain on display throughout the conference.
