Athlete Spotting Agreement
In accordance with the guidelines of the OCF, CheerStrike staff will now begin using limited hands on spotting with strict precautions (outlined below). In most instances of skill instruction progression drills and verbal correction are still only required however coaches will use their professional judgement to determine when/if spotting of an individual athlete would be beneficial/necessary.
Guidelines:
1.The coach and the athlete will both ensure their hands have been properly washed and/or sanitized before and after a skill is spotted as a preventative measure.
2. Coaches will not spot more than 1 athlete without proper hand sanitization occurring between athletes.
3. A face covering will be worn by the coach but not the athlete, whenever possible.
A mask must be worn when a coach is manipulating an athlete’s body alignment and/or positions when the athlete is in a stationary, or relatively stationary position.
Through this form CheerStrike Royals Inc. is seeking consent from parents/guardians, or the athlete if of the age of majority, prior to using hands on spotting or correction.
