The Scott Hall Mills Studio Residency is a 5 day residency opportunity for creatives and artists local to Leeds, with a £100 subsidy per residency.
Featuring a photography cove, glasshaus, treehouse, and lounge set-up, it’s a perfect space for a range of R&D and production activities. Perhaps you’re looking for a space to shoot a video? Maybe you have a photography project you’ve been itching to do? Or want to R&D a theatre project? We’re open to suggestions…!
The Studio has been used as a location for filming and photography, music promo and live sessions, workshops, film screenings, live performance, dining events, launches, exhibitions and much more. The 1,100 sq/ft mill studio is best suited to projects that require a lot of space to realise, and we are particularly keen to support dynamic projects that can't be achieved just by sitting at a laptop.
We accept applications from individuals, or groups, providing that groups are no larger than six, and are able to abide to social distancing rules in place over the period. We cannot (for obvious reasons!) host public events of any form. Please be aware that the studio space is located on the 2nd floor and we do not have a lift, which unfortunately may not be accessible to everyone.
Dates Available: weeks of the 9th Nov, 16th Nov, 23rd Nov, 30th Nov
Subsidy: £100 per residency towards food and travel
