Whānau Whanake is a Whānau Ora collective based in the Wellington region. We are made up of five Iwi and Māori organisations - Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Toa Rangatira Inc, Te Roopu Awhina ki Porirua, Te Rūnanganui o Te Atiawa, Tākiri Mai Te Ata, and Kahungunu Whānau Services.

eRangatahi is a new initiative and our mission is to empower rangatahi to achieve their leadership goals and aspirations; to grow whānau leaders for apōpō.

Our program empowers rangatahi leadership through a strengths based, whānau centered, kaupapa Māori approach underpinned by our values of:

Rangatairatanga, Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga and Whanaungatanga.

We welcome rangatahi Māori who are currently in BEET (Business, Employment, Education and
Training) and interested in developing their leadership skills.
We are looking for rangatahi who:
o are, or want to be, connected to their whakapapa
o are willing to commit and actively participate in the program
o set aspirational goals and consistently works towards them
o are motivated to exceed expectations
o demonstrate perseverance
o are open to change and have a growth mindset
o enjoy learning and appreciate the opportunity to increase skills, experience, and ability
o takes ownership for their development.

This program will run over a period of 10 months consisting of monthly group workshops and mentorship, commencing on the 1st of July 2021 end June 2022.

Please note that everyone accepted onto the program is required to invest in themselves (at $92NZD) and complete the Clifton strengths based assessment online, and send us through their full report before the first workshop in July. The report will be used to guide you throughout the program and demonstrates your commitment. There are no additional costs, apart from getting yourself to wānanga/workshops. You must also have access to the internet and a laptop or PC. A smart phone is not enough as you are required to do some mahi.
