INSIGHTS INTO MESALAZINE USE IN CLINICAL PRACTICE: A SURVEY FROM AGGEI
Dear Colleagues,
Dear Young Gastroenterologist in Training,

Mesalazine is among the medications most prescribed by gastroenterologists. However, there are still several aspects regarding its use which leads to debate and controversy. Even the most recent guidelines still have grey zones regarding the correct use, timing and the management for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases, diverticular disease and irritable bowel syndrome.
Therefore, a Survey on the current use of mesalazine by young Gastroenterologists’ is needed to address any knowledge gaps in the next future.

The participants of the Survey will be the young fellow in training in Gastroenterology and the Young Gastroenterologist (age below 40).
The survey takes about 4 minutes to complete using an on-line tool for surveys.
All questionnaires will be compiled anonymously, and the results will be published in peer-reviewed Gastroenterological journals to be available to everyone.

This Survey is an initiative of the Italian Association of Young Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist (AGGEI).

Giovanni Marasco, Olga Maria Nardone, Carlo Petruzzellis, Loris Lopetuso, Franco Scaldaferri, on behalf of AGGEI.
