We understand that situations change in reference to a family's ability to support a student. Our organization makes contact with adopting families prior to the beginning of each semester to inquire as to whether the family wishes to continue with the adoption for the forthcoming semester.

Frequency of Support:
It is at the discretion of the adopting family the frequency of support or the means of support. Families wishing to support students through the funding of dining dollars for the provision of meals should submit the contribution on behalf of the student through the donation link on our website.

The OCM Foundation has an account on file with Baylor University where students that we support have granted the foundation direct access for depositing of funds. Contributions of dining dollars are deposited within 24 hours of receipt and a receipt of said deposit to the student’s account is transmitted electronically to the donor. 

Anonymous Bears:
It is at the sole discretion of the student wishing to be adopted as to whether they want to remain anonymous or have contact with their adopting family. In many cases, anonymous Bears after experiencing the kindness of others choose to convert to having contact with their adopting family. If at any time a student expresses a willingness to have contact with their adopting family, we will communicate that change to you along with their contact information.

Records of Contribution:

Adopting families should maintain records of all costs or contributions of support for submission to the foundation at the end of the year for a letter of contribution for their tax records.
